Radio, TV coverage scheduled

Thanks to First NBC Bank and WGSO 990 AM radio, high school football fans will enjoy another season filled with colorful play-by-play broadcasts of more than two dozen local games.

Ashton Ryan, First NBC president and chief executive officer, will sponsor 10 telecasts of prep games on WHNO-TV 20, beginning with the webcast of the season-opener between John Ehret and Riverside on Sept. 2. Sportsnola.com will offer a live stream at 7 p.m., to be followed by the telecast on WHNO Sept. 3 at noon.

In the early weeks of the season, four local Catholic schools will be featured: De La Salle vs. Hancock, Mississippi, on Sept. 9 (live stream) and Sept. 10 (televised); Brother Martin vs. Karr on Sept. 15; and the traditional Jesuit vs. Holy Cross game on Sept. 30.
