Fr. Braud to celebrate 50th

On the occasion of his 50th anniversary of priesthood, Father Ronald Braud wrote the following reflection:
What is dear to my priestly heart?
In August 1954, Archbishop Joseph Rummel interviewed me about my desire to become a priest. He asked what I hoped to achieve by becoming a priest.
I responded that I hoped to save my own soul and, at my best, to save the souls of others.
This has been my most important guide in 50 years of priestly life. I can only hope that this has been most successful.
I have had no regrets. I hope that all those who have been entrusted to my priestly care can say that the question of Archbishop Rummel has been completely answered.
Father Braud will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Louis King of France Church on Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. followed by a reception in the Lorio Center.
