Notre Dame Seminary confers degrees

    Notre Dame Seminary Graduate School of Theology held its 64th commencement exercises May 9 in the Archbishop Francis B. Schulte Auditorium on the seminary grounds.
    Houma-Thibodaux Bishop Sam G. Jacobs was the commencement speaker. He was  awarded an honorary doctor of letters degree.
    Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond and Father James A. Wehner, rector-president, conferred these degrees:
    ➤ Master of arts in theological studies: Kimberly Monteleone Anson, Baton Rouge, summa cum laude; Geoffrey Alexander Leeves Bain, concentration in sacred Scripture, Baton Rouge, summa cum laude; Phillip Anthony Berns, Metairie, magna cum laude; Debra Ann G. Fontenot, Lafayette; Marie Adele T. Guillot, Lafayette, cum laude; Joseph Lynn Kizziah, Gretna; Peggy Susan MacKenzie, Mandeville; Deacon André Robert Metrejean, Diocese of Lafayette (has successfully presented his thesis), magna cum laude.
